Greetings from my hometown - NYC views
c. 1900's through the Sixties

Enjoy the views of my hometown. Most are from postcards dating from the early
1900's, and some of them are views from my childhood - the fifties and sixties,
including my playgrounds: Coney Island and Central Park. I love the artwork and colors
on the vintage postcards, many are hand-tinted or painted on linen. Not the shiny
stuff we find in the souvenir shops today. I list the postmark dates where available.

I used to watch this ship sail out of the harbor in NYC, and
when we moved to Brooklyn, I used to watch it from the area
of the Verazzano Bridge. I forget when the ship was retired
