Home of Coney Island, Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs, The Brooklyn
Bridge, The Brooklyn Dodgers, Sheepshead Bay, and other cool stuff

Please be patient: there are lots of cool graphics on this page

there might be some duplicates on subsequent pages

I spent about twelve years of my life in Brooklyn, N.Y., so here are some old-fashioned scenes
you might enjoy. My old stomping grounds: Lafayette High School, Dyker Heights Jr. High, Bay
Ridge, Bay Parkway, Coney Island, Bensonhurst. And if anyone is interested, i lived on 86th St.
and 17th Ave. in Bensonhurst. I also lived at Sea Gate, and any photos would be appreciated.

Brooklyn Bridge 4th of July - i love the artwork on this one

Ebbett's Field, Brooklyn Dodgers - 1953
I believe the Field was demolished by 1960

Photo - Jackie Robinson - Infielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers,
1947-1956. Inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1962

Shore Rd. - 1906

Brooklyn Botanic Gardens

Fulton St. and Flatbush Ave. - 1944

The Brooklyn Museum - 1944

Brooklyn Bridge Tram - 1920's

Grand Army Plaza

Prospect Park Zoo - 1940's

Ross's/McGinnis's - Sheepshead Bay - 1960's
This was a favorite stop every time we visited Sheepshead Bay. The best
rotisserie roast beef and deep fried shrimp sandwiches in the world. After
lunch or dinner, we'd wait for the fishing charter boats to come in and buy
fish right off the boats, still flopping around. How much fresher can you get
