Fun Stuff...

We'll begin with a Table 5 favorite game.... sorta like Punch Bug

Beatles Tag

Have you ever seen the characters from Table 5 running around the bar, hiding around cornors and behind doors, and punching each other?? If you have, chances are good that you’ve witnessed a game of “Beatles Tag”.

The history

The game started over a year ago, while we listening to one of our favorite classic rock bands, and they decided to do an entire set of Beatles songs. Now I’m a Beatles fan from way back, and I was in my glory. By the third song, I was so excited, I would punch Ricky (or whoever was sitting next to me at the time) and yell “another Beatles song”. Needless to say, my friends were getting a little tired of this and started punching me back, or moving out of my way. This developed into what we like to call Beatles Tag

The Rules (yes, there are rules)

The rules for Beatles tag are pretty basic

As soon as you realize that a Beatles song has started, you get to punch anyone playing (but only once and not hard enough to hurt them). The trick is to punch everyone before they punch you.

If you are punched by another player, you CANNOT punch them back, you can only punch those who have not punched you yet.

The game lasts for the duration of the song (Lucy and Ethel have been known to hide outside the Men’s room door waiting for Ricky or Fred to come out so they could punch them)

Songs by George, John, Paul or Ringo done after the break-up do not warrent punches. They do, however warrent a one finger flick under the same rules as the punching.

Do you have any unique and fun time-passers that you play with your friends? E-mail us and let us know about them. Just click the button below, and tell me the game and the rules, and you might see it featured on this site in the future

Love & Peace,
